MORE INFORMATION

California Climate Investments is a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment—particularly in disadvantaged communities. Your input helps inform administering agencies in the design and implementation of their California Climate Investments programs. CARB staff will consider the feedback from this and other statewide meetings and written comments in the development of the Proposed Update to the Funding Guidelines, to be considered for approval by the Board following a public hearing in Summer 2018. A new draft of the Funding Guidelines will be available on the ARB website in Mid-April and will be circulated once released. For a preview of the major changes, see the Discussion Document at: https://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/capandtrade/auctionproceeds/fundingguidelines.htm

The California Climate Equity Coalition (CCEC) is a network of organizations across the state aimed at ensuring successful implementation of climate investments in disadvantaged communities (DACs), as originally established under SB 535 (De León) and AB 1550 (Gomez). The Steering Committee is led by the Asian Pacific Environmental Network, Coalition for Clean Air, Greenlining Institute, Public Advocates Inc, and SCOPE. Through our legislative and regulatory advocacy, we work to promote equitable policies and programs that serve the needs of communities disproportionately impacted by poverty and pollution.
