There is a reason you might be seeing a lot of electric vehicles on the road. California now has more than 230,000 plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) as part of a quickly growing zero-emission car market, the largest in the country.
The Luskin Center has released a major report that analyzes the growth of California's PEV market and highlights key trends in the adoption of these vehicles. It also identifies the household, housing, geographic, market and public policy factors that are correlated with the sales of new PEVs. The analysis is based on a statistical evaluation of monthly neighborhood PEV sales as a well as a survey of California new car buyers' attitudes.
