Professor McConnell will share insights from her work on how communities adapt and transform in the aftermath of wildfire events\, offering valuable perspectives on resilience\, displacement\, and urban change. Her research examines the intersection of environmental hazards\, the built environment\, and population mobility\, with a focus on understanding the long-term impacts of highly destructive wildfires. Kathryn previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University’s Population Studies and Training Center. She holds a PhD and an MESc from Yale School of the Environment.
