Alex Aguirre Levitas

Project Manager and Researcher of Climate Action

Alex Aguirre Levitas (she/her/hers) is a project manager and researcher for the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation (LCI). Her work is focused on evaluating California Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities Program (TCC) in South Los Angeles. Alex also serves as a staff researcher, assisting with data collection and analysis across all TCC communities that LCI evaluates.

Alex comes to us from the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where she received a Master’s in Public Policy and is now completing her doctoral studies in Criminology, Law, and Society. Her research centers on community participation in policy decision-making. She has previously worked as a program evaluator and community-engaged researcher throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. At UCI, she joined several community-engaged research teams to support public health and safety policy evaluation efforts.
