Bo Liu

Bo Liu is a project director at the Luskin Center for Innovation, focusing on transportation electrification and urban analytics. His research interests include regional and cross-sectoral understanding of global environmental change and mitigation strategies, and integrated analysis of technology, infrastructure and public policy. Bo received his Ph.D in Urban Planning from UCLA in 2020. He also holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University, a MS in Environmental Science from SUNY-ESF, and a BS in Environmental Science from Beijing Normal University.

Prior to coming to UCLA, Bo worked as a research associate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and a graduate scholar at the New York State Assembly. He has published a number of peer-reviewed articles in Nature Energy, Energy Policy, Applied Energy, GCB Bioenergy, International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control, etc. View more information about his research or Bo’s CV.
