Randy Rodriguez Jr. (he/they) is an Associate Project Manager and Researcher at the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation (LCI). He brings his distinct perspective and lived experiences in the South LA and Southeast LA regions to support the evaluation of the Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) program. His work primarily focuses on supporting the South LA Eco-Lab’s transformative climate projects and plans by aligning with its vision of transforming South LA into a socially inclusive, sustainable, green, and climate-resilient community.

Randy graduated Summa Cum Laude from UC Berkeley (UCB) with a B.A in Geography and a minor in Education, focusing his research on the domains of racial geographies and political economies. Before joining LCI, he worked for UCB’s Geography Department as a researcher supporting Assembly Bill 3121, which established a task force to study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans in California. Additionally, he brings over five years of experience advancing early and higher education equity working at the nexus of research, program evaluation and project management.
