Pomona Activated for Community Transformation and Sustainability, or Pomona ACTS, is a coalition of community groups, nonprofit organizations, and local government agencies that have come together to advance the goal of a healthier and more prosperous community.

  • 2019

Pomona ACTS organizing efforts kicked off.

The Pomona Activated for Community Transportation and Sustainability (Pomona ACTS) collaborative came together as a working group led by the City of Pomona and consisting of numerous community-based partners.

  • 2020

Partners secured a TCC Planning Grant.

The Pomona ACTS collaborative secured a $200,000 Planning Grant (Round 3). The grant — led by the City of Pomona and co-applicants Clean and Green Pomona, CHERP Solar Works, and GRID Alternatives — focused on assessing the feasibility of efforts to expand clean energy options.

  • 2024

Partners secured a TCC Implementation Grant.

The California Strategic Growth Council awarded Pomona ACTS another $22 million to continue its work (Round 5 TCC Implementation Grant). The implementation grant proposal, which builds on the collaborative’s planning grant activities, seeks to transform the community through projects that connect residents to clean transportation, renewable energy, green infrastructure, and opportunities to improve community health.

With a total of $22 million in TCC funding, measurable change is underway.

Pomona ACTS maintains a dedicated webpage with updates on the initiative and announcements of upcoming meetings and events.
